We turn the attention to Easter Monday afternoon’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to 1st Cloud Arena.
South Shields v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Monday 21st April 2025, 3pm
1st Cloud Arena
The Opposition
South Shields have struggled to maintain their best form during the latter months of the 2024/25 campaign and have slipped to 17th place in National League North as a result.
The Mariners have drawn their last two games but had lost five in a row before that, and they will be keen to end the campaign on a high with a couple of good results.
Elliott Dickman’s men came from a goal down to claim a point at Darlington on Good Friday and will now aim to back that up with a first win on home soil since February.
Previous Meeting
Monday’s game will be the third meeting of the season between the sides following two encounters at The Brewery Field in league and cup earlier in 2024/25.
Moors came out on top when the sides met in the FA Trophy back in November, but Shields claimed a point on Boxing Day when Tom Allan scored to cancel out Isaac Fletcher’s opener.
Referee
Lee Hible will be the man in the middle for Easter Monday’s action at 1st Cloud Arena, and he will be assisted by Wayne Cooper and Sam Bayley. Neil Howlett is Fourth Official.
