Moors are set to travel over 7,000 miles to complete their National League North fixtures during the 2025/26 campaign.
Graeme Lee’s men have seen the distance required to cover all league fixtures rise by over 200 miles on the total mileage from last term.
The increase is due mainly to the arrival of Merthyr Town into the division following their promotion from the Southern League Premier Division South.
The Martyrs’ Penydarren Park home is some 300 miles from The Brewery Field and will represent the longest distance Moors have ever travelled to compete in a league game, comfortably beating the 258 miles for Needham Market in 2024/25.
Fellow new boys Bedford Town and AFC Telford United are both over 200 miles away from Spennymoor, while the journeys to AFC Fylde (108.7 miles) and Worksop Town (111.4 miles) are friendly in comparison.
In total, Moors will travel a total of 7,073 miles in round trips to play each of their opponents in National League North next term, rising from 6,860 miles last season.
