Ian Geldard has provided Moors fans with some insight into the work that has been going on behind the scenes at The Brewery Field ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
In a wide-ranging interview ahead of the new season, the Club’s Managing Director told us more about the changes being made to improve the experience for fans and enhance the platform for players and staff.
Geldard also underlined the determination that exists at The Brewery Field to build a sustainable club which supporters of many generations to come can be proud of.
“There is so much going on in and around the Club and the important thing is that we run those things sustainably,” he told us.
“It’s the first time we’ve set a balanced budget, so we have to maximise the income from sponsorships and partnerships and spend it sensibly.
“There are some other clubs at our level who are struggling at the minute, but Spennymoor Town is not one of those – we have full-time staff here who are driving us forward commercially and hopefully ensuring we aren’t reliant on one man.
“Brad (Groves, Chairman) has done some fantastic things over the years to get us where we are, but his legacy now is to create a Club that will last forever and stand on its own two feet.”
