Glen Taylor is hoping a big crowd can descend on The Brewery Field on Saturday as he celebrates his 10 years of service with a testimonial against a Stockport County XI.
The legendary striker has broken records left, right and centre during his decade in a black and white shirt – now he’s hoping for an afternoon of celebration this weekend.
“I know the fans have always been really good and appreciative of what I’ve done and obviously I’m appreciative of all their support over the years,” he told us.
“When you put on an occasion like this Saturday you hope that people can come along and enjoy the game, first and foremost, because it is a pre-season friendly too.
“There’s going to be a lot of people there hopefully, a lot of friends and family too so it’s going to be an amazing day.
“I am really looking forward to sharing it with everyone who has been there for lots of highs and lows over the years.”
