Corey McKeown Signs New Spennymoor Deal

Corey McKeown has handed Moors a huge boost ahead of the 2025/26 campaign by putting pen to paper on a new deal to keep him at The Brewery Field.

The talented winger was once again one of the standout performers last term as Graeme Lee’s men came within a whisker of the play-offs and made it to the FA Trophy Final.

McKeown initially joined the Club from Blyth Spartans back in November 2022 and now he has agreed terms on a fresh contract to extend his stay into a fourth season.

The 23-year-old has made 117 appearances for the Club in all competitions, and he hit the net 9 times during 2025/26, including a hat-trick in the 7-0 demolition of Rushall Olympic in January.

His eye-catching form sparked rumours of interest from elsewhere, but Moors boss Lee has now convinced McKeown that his immediate future lies at The Brewery Field.

“We’re delighted that Corey has agreed a new deal to stay with the Club,” admitted Lee.

“Over the years he’s been with us, he’s developed into a key player for us and is someone who gets the fans excited when he’s on the ball and driving at defences.

“I think this could be a really important season for Corey – we want him to build on what he’s done in the last couple of years and really show everyone what he’s about now.

“Corey signing is another step forward for us and I’m pleased with the way things are coming together ahead of the new season – we’re not too far away now.”
