We turn our focus on to the Bank Holiday Monday action as Moors welcome National League North new boys Macclesfield to The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Macclesfield
National League North
Monday 25th August 2025, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Macclesfield have made extraordinary progress since being forced to reform in 2020 and have arrived in National League North on the back of three promotions in four years.
The Silkmen had to recover from the blow of losing title-winning manager Robbie Savage to Forest Green Rovers during the summer, turning to John Rooney as his replacement in the dugout.
It’s so far so good for Rooney too as Macclesfield have adjusted to life at a higher level in encouraging fashion and sit eighth in the table on seven points from their four games.
Following today’s trip to County Durham, Macclesfield will be looking forward to back-to-back home games as they aim to build on their solid opening month.
Previous Meeting
Monday’s game will be the first time the two clubs have faced each other in competitive action.
Referee
Callum Jones will be the man in the middle for Monday’s game at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Stephen Birkett and Elliot Cowens. Nick Vincent is our Fourth Official.
Tickets
The game is not segregated, and both home and away supporters are able to buy their tickets online in advance or by cash and card on the turnstiles from 1pm.
