Moors have boosted their attacking options after agreeing a deal to sign Barrow forward Katia Kouyate on loan until the New Year.
The 22-year-old, who is comfortable in a central striking role or on the wing, has been with The Bluebirds since the summer of 2024 when he penned a three-year contract.
Kouyate came through the ranks in Everton’s Academy and became a regular in their Under-21s side, played in the EFL Trophy and signed professional terms in 2020.
Blessed with plenty of pace and a direct style, Kouyate made 28 appearances for Barrow last term, but now boss Andy Whing has given the green light for him to leave on loan.
“We’ve been keen to add to our squad in the final third and Katia is a player who offers us something different,” explained Moors boss Graeme Lee.
“He’s got pace to burn and can operate in a few different positions so he will complement the players we already have really well.
“I know he’s keen to come and play games and show what he can do, so we’re pleased to bring him to the Club, and we think he can excite the supporters.”
Kouyate will wear the number 17 shirt and will be eligible for Saturday’s FA Cup tie at West Auckland Town, subject to approval from the FA, EFL and National League.
