Late drama at the Tameside Stadium forced Moors to settle for a point away at Curzon Ashton.
James Spencer opened the scoring with 6 minutes on the clock, before Moors equalised through Ethan Robson just after the half hour mark.
Glen Taylor scored from the spot with less than 20 minutes left to play, only to be cancelled out by an 88thminute equaliserfrom Adam Barton.
The hosts almost hit the back of the net just 2 minutes into the game, as Alex Curran’s low effort had to be dealt with by Bobby Jones.
Curzon did take the lead just 4 minutes later, as captain, James Spencer managed to sneak home a downward header. The effort was tipped onto the post by Jones, but somehow bundled over the line to put the hosts ahead.
Moors’ first half chance of the game came through Glen Taylor, who got into space before firing wide of the near post from just inside the area.
Loanee, Ethan Robson, saw two efforts go amiss in quick succession when his initial strike was saved by Callum Hawkins, before smashing a curled effort over the bar.
Jones was on hand again 25 minutes in as he charged out to deny Tony Weston from point blank range.
The hosts had a good opportunity to double their advantage on the 32nd minute as Joel Amado got free at the back post. But his volleyed effort was brilliantly palmed over by Jones.
Graeme Lee’s side drew level with just 10 minutes of the first half remaining, as Robson snagged his first goal for the club. The midfielder took a touch before rounding a defender and coolly slotting home into the bottom right corner.
The Nash responded strongly to being pegged back, with Jordan Richards and Chibuike Ezennolim trying their luck on goal, only to see neither come off in their favour.
Moors finished the half the better, however, as Corey McKeown wriggled into the area before cutting onto his right foot and striking goalwards. His effort fell just wide of the mark.
With scores level at the break, Moors looked to come out and get that early goal to put them ahead, and they almost found it.
Olly Dyson’s powered cross found Tom Pugh inside the area, but his headed ended up comfortably saved by Hawkins.
McKeown almost put Moors ahead on the hour mark when he skipped in behind and let fly, but saw his effort face the same fate as Pugh’s header.
Curzon’s number 1 continued to scourge attempts to drag Moors ahead, as he stepped up again to make himself big and deny Glen Taylor from close range.
The big number 9 went close again with 66 minutes on the clock when he lashed a powerful effort on goal, which grazed the bar before going over.
The captain was involved again just 6 minutes later when he was taken down from behind inside the area and won a penalty. He took the spot kick himself and made no mistake, as he fired low into the bottom left corner of the net to put his side ahead.
It was end to end stuff as the game drew to a close, with Jones stepping up to deny Curzon of an equaliser at one end, before Hawkins stopped McKeown at the other.
Mackenzie Heaney nearly added a third when he struck an effort toward the bottom right corner from the edge of the area, but, again, Hawkins was there to thwart Moors’ attempts.
It was late heartbreak for Graeme Lee’s men, as Adam Barton broke free at the near post and fired in after connecting with a corner to rescue a point for the hosts.
