We turn the spotlight on Saturday’s National League North action as Moors play host to Peterborough Sports at The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Peterborough Sports
National League North
Saturday 8th November 2025, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Peterborough Sports climbed out of National League North’s bottom four last weekend on the back of two excellent victories over Southport and Chorley.
The Turbines turned to Phil Brown to lead them in September after making the decision to part company with joint bosses Michael Gash and Luke Steele.
The experienced Brown now has the task to lead Sports away from trouble at the wrong end of the table and those consecutive wins last week will certainly raise hopes.
They were unable to continue that momentum in midweek when they were beaten 3-1 at Macclesfield but they will be aiming to bounce back when they travel to County Durham.
Previous Meeting
This weekend’s game will be the seventh competitive meeting between the two clubs – and five of the previous six encounters have ended in draws.
Both of last term’s fixtures resulted in 1-1 draws, while Moors are the only team to have registered a win when they triumphed 2-0 at Lincoln Road in 2023.
Referee
Jason Porter will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Connor Scott and Stephen Birkett. Lewis Marriner will be our Fourth Official.
Tickets
The game is not segregated, and both home and away supporters are able to buy their tickets online in advance or by cash and card on the turnstiles from 12.30pm.

We’ve extended our partnership with the local radio station to ensure fans can access live coverage of every game both home and away.
Join Mark Simpson from 2.50pm on Saturday to find out whether Graeme Lee’s men can build on their midweek away point when they return to home soil.

Remembrance Tribute
Saturday will be our dedicated Remembrance Day fixture with the Club partnering with Peterborough Sports to pay tribute to those who sacrificed.
Moors’ Managing Director Ian Geldard will be joined by Turbines’ Chairman Tim Woodward in laying wreaths on the pitch prior to kick-off before a performance of The Last Post and a minute’s silence.
We would ask supporters to take up their positions in the stands a little earlier than usual in order to join us in paying our respects.
