A first half brace from Rob Ramshaw earned Moors all three points on the road at The Marine Travel Arena.
The number 10 opened the scoring when he found the net in the 3rd minute, before doubling his tally 23 minutes later with a tidy finish into the bottom right corner.
Moors grabbed the first goal of the game inside the opening 5 minutes. Junior Mondal got on the end of a long ball forward, before slipping Ramshaw in behind, who made no mistake as he prodded the ball home beneath Fraser Barnsley.
Tom Pugh and Glen Taylor had chances to double the lead in quick succession, but neither strike found the target.
The Moors Captain was involved again in the 20th minute when he met with Tyler Hill’s cross towards the back-post. However, he saw his headed effort deflected wide by Josh Wardle.
Ramshaw was inches away from his second of the afternoon after he navigated a header on target at the near post, but saw it cleared off the line.
The midfielder did manage to bag himself another goal with 26 minutes on the clock, as he got on the end of a good ball from Hill on the left hand side, before breaking into the box and stroking home into the bottom right corner of the net.
Marine’s first half-chance came through Fin Sinclair-Smith, who volleyed an effort over the bar after connecting with a long ball over the top.
Graeme Lee’s side went so close to a third, as both Glen Taylor and Junior Mondal fired efforts on goal, but thanks to some good reactions from Barnsley on both occasions, the score remained at a two goal advantage.
With Moors leading and in command of the fixture at the halfway stage, Marine looked to come out with real fire and get themselves back into the game.
Adam Anson found space in the area following a corner, and struck an effort goalwards from close range, only for the linesman to raise his flag for offside.
The hosts came forward again through loanee Charlie Jolley, but his ambitious attempt at lobbing Bobby Jones came to no avail, as the ball dropped wide of the mark.
McKeown almost got Moors’ third of the afternoon when he found space inside the area to strike, only to see the effort curl agonisingly wide of the right post.
Both sides saw shots go begging just after the hour mark, first through Taylor, whose powerful effort flew straight at Barnsley, before Sinclair-Smith’s strike was deflected wide at the other end.
Ramshaw had the chance to complete his hattrick with 9 minutes left to play, as he was squared the ball by Mondal. The midfielder struck the ball first time inside the area, but saw it brilliantly saved by Marine’s number one.
Substitute, Mackenzie Heaney looked to be through on goal in the 85th minute, as he was played in behind by a teammate. However, the linesman’s flag had been raised, sparking controversy among the Moors bench, resulting in a yellow card for Graeme Lee.
Marine had a chance to get a consolation goal deep into stoppage time through Odin Samuels-Smith, only for the number 3 to smash his strike over the bar.
Moors take home all three points after an impressive display at The Marine Travel Arena, as focus now shifts onto next Saturday’s fixture at The Brewery Field against Buxton.
