The Moors squad and coaching staff have once again shown their Christmas spirit by donating items for our annual Toy and Gift Appeal.

The Club has once again linked up with Team Solan to support their appeal and ensure that all the things donated are passed on to families who need them most across the local area.

Last year’s collection was a massive success, and we have once again been overwhelmed by the generosity of Moors supporters this time around over the last few weeks.

Our donation to Team Solan was significantly boosted before the home game against Buxton last weekend when the players arrived armed with an array of toys to pass on.

“It’s a really special time of year for all of us but it’s important we show our support for this kind of appeal,” explained skipper Glen Taylor.

“The lads were all keen to buy items to donate as soon as we heard that the Club was partnering with Team Solan again and it was great to hand them over last Saturday.

“It’s a wonderful appeal and the work that Team Solan do with deserving families right across the region is something we’re only too pleased to get behind.”

The Toy and Gift Appeal is just one part of Moors’ Christmas activity, with an appeal for the Foodbank at Trinity Methodist Church also receiving fantastic backing from supporters over the last few weeks.

We also held the Team Solan Warriors Christmas Party at The Brewery Field and also hosted another Party for our wonderful community partners, as well as two children’s parties to come this weekend.
