Moors Ladies are on their travels this weekend when they make the trip to Sheffield to take on Brunsmeer Athletic in the NERWFL Premier Division (2pm kick-off).
Nikita Hemmingway’s side will be keen to get back in action following their hard fought 1-0 defeat to league-leaders Bradford City at Whitworth Park last weekend.
There was plenty about that performance to encourage the Moors boss and now she will be hoping her third-placed team can build on that in Yorkshire on Sunday.
“We played well for large periods against Bradford,” Hemmingway told us.
“There were plenty of positives to come out of that display and if we can maintain that sort of standard for the rest of the season, we’ll win plenty of games.
“Brunsmeer will form a different type of challenge for us and it’s a long trip for the girls – but we’ll got there in good spirits and confident we can get a result.”
Moors will aim to complete a league double over Brunsmeer, who currently sit ninth in the table, having enjoyed a 3-0 victory when the sides met at The Brewery Field in October.
Sunday’s fixture will take place at Hillsborough College in Sheffield and will kick-off at 2pm.
