Moors Fans Set To March For Reuben

A dedicated group of Moors fans are set to take on a 25-mile charity walk to our game against Bedford Town in March to raise money for James Cook Hospital’s Neonatal Unit.

On New Year’s Day, Andy Harvey tragically lost his son Reuben at just 11 days old and now he is determined to honour his memory and find hope amidst tragedy by embarking on an emotional pilgrimage to The Brewery Field.

Andy and an ever-growing team of Moors fans will set off from the Neonatal Unit at James Cook Hospital in Middlesbrough at 5am on Saturday 7th March with the aim of making it to The Brewery Field in time for kick-off at 3pm.

The walkers are hoping they can raise funds for the Neonatal Unit which cared so lovingly for Reuben and gave Andy and his partner Rebecca 11 precious days with their son before he sadly passed away.

“We’d love for as many people as possible to join us at any point during the day,” explained Andy.

“The hope is that we can raise a lot of money so any donations via our Just Giving page would be hugely appreciated and keep us even more motivated during the challenge!”
