Preview: Moors v Chorley

We turn the spotlight on Tuesday night’s National League North action as Moors play host to Chorley at The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Chorley
National League North
Tuesday 24th February 2026, 7.45pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Chorley find themselves in the bottom half of the National League North table after struggling to maintain their brilliant early season form.

The Magpies recovered from play-off heartbreak at the end of last term to win six of their first nine outings in 2025/26 to sit among the pacesetters in the opening months.

However, Andy Preece’s men found victories harder to come by in October and November, and they arrive in County Durham this week having tasted victory just twice in their previous nine games.

Previous Meetings
The game finished goalless when the two sides met at Victory Park back in November – the first time there has ever been a league draw in this fixture.

The Magpies completed a National League North double over Moors last term, winning 4-0 on home soil to back up a 2-1 triumph at The Brewery Field.

Referee
Thomas Wilson will be the man in the middle for Tuesday evening’s contest, and he will be assisted by Elliot Cowens and Tom Lishman. Alex Clark is our Fourth Official.

Tickets
The game is not segregated, and both home and away supporters are able to buy their tickets online in advance or by cash and card on the turnstiles from 6.30pm.
