A duo of first half goals proved enough to secure all three points for Moors against a resolute Hereford side at Edgar Street.
Glen Taylor opened the scoring inside the opening two minutes when he headed home from close range, before Corey McKeown doubled the advantage with a tidy finish.
The hosts pulled one back late into the second half through Freddy Willcox, but it wasn’t enough to rescue any points.
It took just 70 seconds for Moors to find the net, as Taylor once again hit the target at Edgar Street to celebrate his 20th league goal of the campaign. A good ball in from the left courtesy of McKeown found the frontman in the centre of the penalty area, where he nodded home from close range to give his side an early lead.
Both Mackenzie Heaney and Olly Dyson took aim from distance around the 12th minute mark, only to see their attempts on goal saved by Theo Richardson in The Bulls’ net.
Taylor went close to a second of the evening when he smashed a volley towards the bottom left corner, only to see Richardson get down well to deny the strike.
However, Moors did go on to double the lead with 35 minutes on the clock, immediately after an impressive goal-line clearance by Ben Pollock.
A brilliant counterattack saw Ramshaw pick up the ball well inside his own half and carry it into Hereford’s. The midfielder then slipped a perfectly timed ball in behind to McKeown, who produced a low and composed finish past Richardson and into the back of the net.
It could’ve been three in first half stoppage time, when Salkeld set Ramshaw away down the right-hand side. He picked up the ball and drove towards the penalty area, before fizzing a low cross towards the back post, which found McKeown, who couldn’t navigate an effort on target.
Brad James was forced into action early in the second half when he denied a Hereford man from close range, before Pollock managed to get in the way of a dangerous looking cross into the area soon after.
Substitute Mikey Lane almost pulled a goal back for the hosts in the 58th minute when a looping ball into the area bounced in front of the number 9. He guided a header on target, but James was there to claim.
Aaron Downes’ men continued to push for a goal, as Harrison Sohna took aim from the edge of the area, only to see his curling effort drop wide of the left post with just over 20 minutes to play.
Moors could’ve put themselves out of sight soon after when Cam Salkeld’s inviting ball across the face of goal found McKeown at the back post, however, he couldn’t guide the ball home.
Another opportunity went begging in the 81st minute, as Junior Mondal stole the ball on the halfway line, before setting McKeown away down the left. The winger bore down on goal but was shepherded wide by a Hereford defender as the chance fizzled out.
The Bulls saw an opportunity go wide when Sohna failed to hit the target from the edge of the area, before Tyler Hill was forced into a goal-line clearance just minutes later.
The pressure paid off with six minutes of normal time remaining, when Willcox’s long range effort soared into the top right corner of the net, despite the best efforts of James, who had gotten a hand to the strike.
With an additional four minutes to be played at the end of the 90, it looked as if Hereford would carve out one more chance to rescue a point, but good defending in Moors’ own penalty area secured the spoils for Tommy Miller and Matty Dolan’s men.
