Year 11 students are being given the chance to Train Like A Pro with Moors star and interim boss Matty Dolan as part of the Club’s flourishing partnership with New College Durham.
This event is being held at the College on Friday 17th April and gives the opportunity for current Year 11 students to enjoy a professional training session.
The Moors midfielder, who played over 400 games in the EFL and recently took up temporary charge of the First Team, will lead training on the pitch before delivering insight to youngsters in a video analysis session afterwards.
The event is designed to showcase the connection between Moors and New College Durham which sees Dolan coach a team of talented youngsters in the National Football Youth League alongside academic studies at the College.
This hugely popular and successful link-up also provides the opportunity for standout players within the squad to be identified, developed and potentially progress within the club environment.
“The programme is going from strength to strength, and I’ve really enjoyed being involved,” Dolan explained.
“Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen the lads develop so much on and off the pitch, and some have had the opportunity to represent Spennymoor Town at senior level too.
“There is so much competition for aspiring footballers these days, but this Programme is providing young players with first-class standards and a professional environment to help them fulfil their potential.”
The latest Train Like A Pro Day is being held between 10am and 3pm on Friday 17th April at New College Durham and is open to all current Year 11 students.
