Moors Ladies return to The Brewery Field on Sunday to face Ponteland United in the first of three consecutive home games to bring the curtain down on their campaign (2pm kick-off).
Nikita Hemmingway’s side have had to wait a fortnight to have the opportunity to respond following their surprise defeat at Ossett United at the end of March.
Now they will be hoping that home advantage can give them the platform to enjoy a strong finish to the season as they look to cement third place in the NERWRL Premier Division.
“We were frustrated with the game at Ossett, but it just wasn’t our day,” conceded Hemmingway.
“Those kinds of performances have been the exception rather than the rule this season though, and we have to make sure we’re right back to our best for the run-in.
“Being at home in the last three games definitely gives us a big advantage and hopefully we can get good crowds down to cheer us on at The Brewery Field.”
Moors drew 2-2 with this weekend’s visitors Ponteland when the two sides met in Northumberland on the opening day of the campaign.
They lie just four points behind Moors in fifth place in the table, so Sunday’s game has all the makings of an exciting encounter.
Admissions is just £3 for adults and completely free for all those under 12, so make sure you get along to The Brewery Field to cheer the lasses on this weekend.
