Moors Ladies are back at The Brewery Field on Sunday afternoon when they take on Sunderland West End in their penultimate game of the season (2pm kick-off).
Nikita Hemmingway’s side are aiming to complete a NERWFL Premier Division double over their visitors after running out 4-0 winners when the sides met on Wearside last month.
Last weekend’s goalless draw with Ponteland United saw Moors lose ground in the table, dropping to fourth place as Alnwick Town moved above them.
However, with back-to-back home games to finish the season, hopes remain high that the lasses can yet contend for a creditable third-place finish.
“We have to attack Sunday’s game with real positivity,” said Hemmingway.
“I didn’t think we were quite at our best against Ponteland last week, so I am asking a little more of the girls as we go into the final two games of the season.
“The result we got against Sunderland last time will mean nothing – we have to go out there and perform again and hopefully earn the right to take the three points.”
Admission is just £3 for adults and completely free for all those under 12 so make sure you come along to The Brewery Field on Sunday to cheer the lasses on.
