Dan Jones Agrees New Spennymoor Deal

Dan Jones has become the latest player to commit his future to the Club after he agreed terms on a new contract to keep him at The Brewery Field for 2026/27.

The defender signed for Moors last August and went on to make 41 appearances in all competitions during his debut season in black and white stripes.

New boss Tommy Miller was keen to keep the versatile 31-year-old and now a deal has been agreed to see the former Hartlepool United and Port Vale star stay with Moors.

“It’s good news for us that Dan is sticking around,” said Miller.

“He is someone I have known for quite a long time from back in my playing days with Hartlepool and I know what a top performer he can be.

“I think he showed last season what a good player he is and I am confident he can do even better for us in 2026/27 with a full pre-season under his belt.

“Dan has good experience now, can play in a couple of different positions and is a real competitor so we’re really pleased he’s going to be staying with the Club.”

Jones follows in the footsteps of teammates Ben Pollock and Glen Taylor who have all agreed new deals this summer to extend their stays at The Brewery Field.
