Rob Ramshaw has admitted that he was so set on extending his stay with Moors that he may have retired from football if a deal over a new contract hadn’t been reached.
The midfielder is closing in on 450 appearances in all competitions for the Club since arriving at The Brewery Field in the summer of 2016.
And he’s revealed that he would have considered turning his back on the game all together had he not been able to agree terms on a fresh contract to stay.
“It was either Spennymoor or nowhere really,” Ramshaw revealed.
“I told Jason Ainsley that we would come to an agreement on a new deal here or I would look at hanging up my boots and that’s where I was at.
“Life changes. I have a little one on the way and with all the travelling involved in football these days, it was Spennymoor or nothing for me, so I am delighted to get it sorted.”
