Moors Ladies have added to their defensive options with the signing of exciting full-back, Beth Teasdale.
Teasdale joins Nikita Hemmingway’s side for the 2026/27 NERWFL Premier Division campaign, becoming the Club’s first signing of the transfer window.
We spoke with Beth upon her arrival at The Brewery Field to find out more about her ambitions for the upcoming season…
What attracted you to join the Moors?
“I’d watched a few Spenny games last season and I thought the style of football and the way the team played suited me as a player. After meeting everyone at the Club, it felt like the right fit for me.”
How would you describe your style of play?
“I am an attacking full-back. I like to get forward and contribute a lot in the attacking third.”
What are your personal aims for the season ahead and aims for the team?
“My aim for the season is to help the team challenge at the top end of the table and compete for promotion.”
How have the first few days of being a Spennymoor Town player felt?
“It was very easy to settle in. All the girls and coaches from the very first session I went to made me feel welcome. I knew a few of the team before joining so that helped a lot as well.”
Could you tell us a bit about your previous clubs and your progression in football so far?
“I’ve spent the last two years at Newcastle U21s and previously spent the rest of my time at both Teesside RTC and Durham.”
