Tommy Miller has moved to secure his fourth new signing of the summer after agreeing terms to bring talented midfielder Jack Jenkins to The Brewery Field.
The 24-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the option of a second year following his release from National League outfit FC Halifax Town at the end of last term.
A graduate of Leeds United’s Academy, Jenkins signed his first professional contract at Elland Road in 2019 and went on to make several cup appearances for the club.
A box-to-box midfielder, Jenkins gained further senior experience during loan spells at Salford City and Scunthorpe United before making a permanent switch to The Shay Stadium in January 2024.
Jenkins spent time on loan at Bedford Town last season and now he will get the chance to shine in National League North again during 2026/27 with Moors.
“Jack is a player we’ve had our eye on for a while and we’re delighted he’s joining us for the new season,” explained Moors boss Miller.
“He’s got a good pedigree and experience, he’s at a good age, he will bring plenty of energy to our midfield and he’s adaptable in terms of how he can play the game.
“We’re really pleased he’s chosen Spennymoor as the best platform for him at this stage of his career and we’re really looking forward to working with him in 2026/27.”
Jenkins is set to take up squad number 8 and his move to The Brewery Field is subject to the usual clearance from The Football Association and the National League.
