The Club can confirm that Louis Stephenson is facing a spell on sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury in our friendly at Bishop Auckland.

The young defender was stretchered off during the early stages of our fixture at Heritage Park last Tuesday evening and scan results have confirmed a serious injury.

Stephenson, who joined Moors on a permanent deal from Hartlepool United during the summer, will now work on his recovery and rehabilitation with the Club’s medical staff.

“We’re all absolutely gutted for Louis,” said boss Tommy Miller.

“He did so well for us last season and we were delighted to bring him to the Club permanently for this year so it’s heartbreaking for him to suffer such a serious injury.

“We’ll make sure he has all the support he needs during his recovery and, knowing the type of character he is, I am sure he will come back stronger.”
