Tommy Miller has added further strength to his midfield options as Jack Young becomes the 10th new signing of the transfer window following his departure from Worthing.

Jack signs for Moors on a 1-year deal, keeping him at the club for the duration of the 2026/27 campaign.

The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Newcastle United before getting his first taste of men’s football with loan spells at Tranmere Rovers and Wycombe Wanderers.

Jack signed a 3 year deal with The Chairboys in 2022, before later being sent on loan to Ayr United in the first half of the 23/24 season, where he made 17 appearances. A loan move to National League side Wealdstone followed, where he grabbed his first goal in senior football.

The midfielder then signed for Dorking Wanderers on loan until the January of 2025, where he went on to impress, making 32 appearances for the National League South side.

After a stint with Farnborough and a return to Dorking, Jack agreed terms with Worthing in January this year, where he went on to win the NLS title, making 17 appearances.

“Jack is a North East lad who started his career at Newcastle.” Said Miller. “I’ve seen him play many times when he was there and followed his career when he signed for Wycombe Wanderers.”

“He’s had a few loan moves down South and did very well but when he made it clear he wanted to return home to the North East, we were quick to make contact”
