Three special guests will join Ian Geldard for exclusive pre-match Q&A sessions in the Moors Lounge throughout August.

The Moors Lounge is back – and we’re making the return of our revamped matchday hospitality experience even more special this August with a fantastic line-up of guest speakers.

Following the launch of the newly branded Moors Lounge ahead of the 2026/27 season, supporters can now enjoy a premium matchday experience at The Brewery Field, combining excellent facilities, great food and drink, and exclusive access to some of the people who have helped shape the club over the years.

And throughout August, we’ll be adding another exciting element to the afternoon.

Ahead of each of our three home fixtures during the month, Managing Director Ian Geldard will provide an update on the latest developments at the Football Club before hosting an exclusive Q&A session with a special guest.

It’s a chance to hear directly from people with a unique insight into the Club, its history and its ambitions – all while enjoying the hospitality of the Moors Lounge.

Merthyr Town – Saturday 15th August

We begin on the opening home league game of the season with Head of Football, Jason Ainsley.

Jason will join Ian to look back at the summer’s preparations, discussing the recruitment which has seen 11 new players arrive at The Brewery Field, the work that has gone into building the new squad and the Club’s ambitions as the 2026/27 campaign gets underway.

Oxford City – Saturday 22nd August

Next up is a very special guest with a unique connection to the town.

Steve Vickers began his football journey with Spennymoor United before embarking on a hugely successful professional career. The former central defender went on to make more than 300 appearances for Tranmere Rovers and a further 250-plus for Middlesbrough, as well as representing Crystal Palace and Birmingham City. He also featured in Middlesbrough’s 1997 FA Cup Final.

Steve will join Ian to look back on his remarkable playing career, his early days in Spennymoor and his enduring links with the local area.

Hednesford Town – Monday 31st August

Our August programme concludes with a familiar face as Head of Club Development, Gavin Cogdon takes his place on the Moors Lounge stage.

Gavin will reflect on his own long association with Spennymoor Town, including the unforgettable 2013 FA Vase-winning campaign, when the Moors lifted the trophy at Wembley after defeating Tunbridge Wells 2-1.

The conversation will also look at Gavin’s current role at the Football Club, where he oversees our academy, football development and growing programme of community projects.

Hospitality is priced at £30 per person, including match admission, while existing Season Ticket holders and supporters who have already purchased a match ticket can upgrade to the full Moors Lounge experience for just £14 per person.

What’s Included?

· Exclusive access to the Moors Lounge from 1pm until 6pm, with a private bar reserved exclusively for hospitality guests.

· No queues at half-time. Forget waiting for a drink – enjoy your pint as soon as the whistle blows before returning to your reserved seat for the second half.

· A pre-match finger buffet served before kick-off.

· A reserved seat in the Main Stand, guaranteeing you the perfect view of the action.

· A premium drinks experience, with beverages served in glassware rather than plastic cups.

· Exclusive post-match access to the players and management, who will join Moors Lounge guests after the game for refreshments and the Man of the Match presentation – an experience unavailable anywhere else in the stadium.

· Special guest speakers, Q&A sessions and exclusive pre-match events at selected fixtures throughout the season.
