After a six month wait, Moors Ladies return to the Brewery Field for their first competitive home game of the season on Sunday.
Having spent the first five games of the season on the road the Ladies can’t wait to return home.
To mark the occasion there will be loads going on as part of their ‘Home coming’ game against Ponteland United Women, which is set to kick off at 2pm.
Admission is free for all men’s season ticket holders. So whether you are a regular visitor or trying it out for the first time we would like to welcome you to see what the Ladies Team has to offer.
Once in the ground there will be lots to entertain the kids. We will have free face painting between 1pm and 3pm. We will be having a ‘best banner’ competition and will award prizes for the most creative at full time. There will also be a raffle and Moors Ladies merchandise on sale.
Moors Ladies members can enjoy a free drink on us at the Sports Bar. If you haven’t signed up for a membership there is still time and you can enjoy a full season of home games, discounts and exclusive prizes all for only £30.
Our main aim for Moors Ladies matchdays are to create an affordable and family friendly atmosphere matchday experience. With admission only £3 and under 12s free this is a great way to sample a matchday with the whole family.
Moors Ladies Manager Nikita Hemmingway said;
‘We can’t wait to get back to the Brewery Field on Sunday. It’s our home and it’s where we play our best football. We are so lucky to have access to some of the best matchday facilities in north east women’s football and its always a special moment to take to the Brewery Field pitch.
We really love to see the stands full of the next generation of footballers that hopefully will one day play for the Moors Ladies themselves. We have put on activities to really make this a fun day out for the family and it would be great to see you there.’
Moors Ladies ‘Homecoming’ game is on Sunday 18th October. Kick off is at 2pm (turnstiles and the Neil Adams Sports bar opens at 1pm). Admission is free for Spennymoor Men’s Season Tickets Holders and only £3 for non-season ticket holders (under 12s free).
