Bohdi’s 100 Miles 100 Clubs Challenge

We welcomed eight-year-old Bohdi to The Brewery Field on Saturday, where he continued his incredible 100 Miles 100 Clubs Challenge!

Bohdi is taking on the incredible challenge of running 100 miles at 100 clubs, completing one mile at every ground he visits. We were delighted to welcome him onto the pitch at half time of our game against Chorley, where he completed four laps of The Brewery Field’s turf.

He is the youngest of three siblings. His two older brothers, Cohen and Indie, both have Cockayne Syndrome, a life-limiting condition. Bohdi and his family started this challenge so that they can give something back to the charities that have helped them.

Bohdi’s challenge is in aid of three charities, with all money raised being split evenly between them…

The Teesside Family Foundation: Helped to fund Cohen’s electric wheelchair.

Amy and Friends: Supports families affected by Cockayne Syndrome and linked DNA repair disorders.

Middlesbrough Football Club Foundation: Helped create an accessible garden where Bohdi and his brothers can play football together.

Spennymoor Town’s Managing Director, Ian Geldard had this to say about Bohdi’s Challenge…

“It was great to welcome Bohdi to The Brewery Field for our game against Chorley.

“His challenge is both incredible and inspiring, and we are glad that we could help in its completion. We hope he had a great time with us on Saturday.

“All of us here at Spennymoor Town want to wish him the best of luck for the rest of his challenge!”
