Spennymoor Town has sealed the signature of former Middlesbrough and York City goalkeeper Harry Flatters ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.
Flatters, 19, joins up with the squad following a successful trial period during pre-season in which he featured in several games.
The shot stopper made 20 appearances in the Under 18 Premier League for Boro before making the switch to fellow National League North side York in September 2020.
After his move was confirmed, Flatters said: “I am really excited to be joining the club after linking up with the squad in pre-season.
“I am expecting us to have a good season, and with the players we have throughout the team, hopefully we can push for promotion. This squad is more than capable of that.
“Pre-season has allowed me to get some minutes under my belt and understand how the teams plays.
“I am looking to help the team in any way I can both on and off the pitch.”
Tommy Miller said: “It’s great to get Harry on board ahead of the season kicking off this weekend.
“He has been impressive during games and training during pre-season, and with us needing another goalkeeper, Harry fits the right criteria.
“He possesses all the attributes to develop into a top goalkeeper, and we are looking forward to working with him during the season.”
