Club legend Chris Mason re-joined Spennymoor Town in November 2021 on a non-contract basis.
Mason, 35, is an icon at The Brewery Field having led the club to numerous titles and trophies, including the 2013 FA Vase success.
The former captain remained a key part of the side that were promoted to the National League North in 2017, going on to score a crucial last minute winner at Blyth Spartans.
The defender announced he was leaving the club in 2020 following the cancellation of the 2019/20 campaign due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
