We turn our attentions to the weekend action with a full and in-depth preview of Moors’ National League North trip to Aggborough.

Kidderminster Harriers v Spennymoor Town
Saturday 3rd September 2022, 3pm
National League North
Aggborough

In Opposition
Kidderminster Harriers have made an encouraging start to the new season and currently lie sixth in the National League North table, below Moors on goal difference alone.

Russ Penn’s outfit were in the mix for promotion last season and finished in a play-off position before being eliminated at home to Boston United.

However, they have shrugged off that disappointment to begin 2022/23 with optimism, enjoying away wins at Blyth Spartans and Bradford (Park Avenue) before overcoming Peterborough Sports last Saturday.

They suffered a frustrating loss at Brackley on Bank Holiday Monday though, so Harriers will be aiming to bounce back quickly when they welcome Moors to Aggborough this weekend.

One To Watch
Ethan Freemantle has made a positive start to the new season and has found the net in each of Harriers last two home fixtures.

A product of the club’s Academy, Freemantle had already clocked up over 50 senior appearances prior to this term, making 15 starts for the club during 2021/22.

The bustling forward is still only 22 and he will be hoping that his two goals so far can act as a platform for his best campaign yet.

Head To Head
Saturday will be ninth competitive meeting between the two clubs and both have enjoyed two victories each and the other four contests have ended all square.

The most recent encounter ended goalless at The Brewery Field back in March, while Moors’ last visit to Aggborough was a disappointing one as they fell to a 4-0 defeat in October.

On The Whistle
Stuart Morland will be the man in the middle for this weekend’s National League North encounter at Aggborough and he will be assisted by Brandon Scaife and Harry Tarrant.
