Saturday’s game against Peterborough Sports remains on after a pitch inspection was carried out by a local referee at The Brewery Field on Friday morning.
The Club took the step of covering the pitch on Sunday to protect it against the forecast dip in temperatures and as a result the pitch remains playable underneath.
Local ref Andrew Miller will now attend the stadium to carry out a further inspection at 10am on Saturday morning.
We’re now appealing for supporters to come and help us remove snow from the covers from 7am on Saturday morning as we make every effort to ensure the fixture can go ahead as planned.
Volunteers are asked to bring their own snow shovels, if possible, but this is not essential as the Club does have its own supply. Report to the Sports Bar at 7am to join the effort.
Everyone who comes along to help with the operation will receive a free ticket to the game and two drink tokens which can be redeemed at outlets inside The Brewery Field.
