Moors Ladies have strengthened their squad further ahead of their big kick-off following confirmation that midfielder Becca Drinkald has joined the Club.
Known for her calmness in possession and her wide range of passing, Drinkald has impressed the Ladies’ management team during training and friendlies in pre-season.
The 21-year-old talent has been on Moors’ radar for a little while and she has now put pen to paper in time to feature in Sunday’s season opener in the League Cup at South Shields.
“Becca is a player we’ve known about for a good while but for one reason or another we’ve not been able to bring her in,” explained Moors Ladies boss Billy Shackleton.
“We had a good chat with her a few weeks ago and everything has aligned and fallen into place for us both and we’re delighted to get her registered in time for Sunday.
“Becca will bring some much-needed depth and competition in the centre of midfield, especially after the injuries we’ve picked up through pre-season which have left us a little light.”
Drinkald is the seventh new face to arrive at The Brewery Field this summer following the signings of Caitlin Bates, Beth Enguita, Brodie Grayson, Neve Jackson, Sophie Miller and Shannon Reed.
