The Club is delighted to confirm that Lewis Dickman has agreed to continue in his role as First Team Interim Manager until Christmas.
Dickman, who had served as Assistant Manager to Jamie Chandler prior to resignation as boss on Friday, took charge of Moors during their 2-0 win at Buxton on Saturday.
Following further internal discussions over the weekend and into Monday, it has now been decided that Dickman will remain as Interim Manager, to be assisted by First Team Coach Andy Inness.
“Lewis and Andy have been a huge part of the work that has gone into engineering such an encouraging start to the new National League North season,” explained the Club’s Managing Director, Ian Geldard.
“With things going well for the team in the league at the moment, we all agreed that this is not the time to go back to the drawing board and having Lewis and Andy at the helm provides continuity.
“They achieved an excellent result at Buxton on Saturday and everyone at the Club is looking forward to supporting them as they look to build on a really positive opening to the campaign.”
Lewis Dickman added: “I am really excited to be given the opportunity to continue with this project and with the journey we’ve started.
“It’s been pleasing and reassuring to spend time speaking with Brad, Ian and Jason over the last few days and now we’re all determined to build on the success we’ve had this season so far.
“I am delighted to be working alongside Andy because with his expertise and support I know we can continue to improve in training and drive results on the pitch.
“I am happy to be leading from this position but it’s not about me or any one person – it’s about everyone coming together, inside the Club and on the terraces, to drive things forward to ensure we build on a really encouraging start.”
Moors’ Head of Football Jason Ainsley commented: “The team has performed consistently well in the league during the start to the new season.
“We feel that the foundations have already been laid by Jamie, with the support of Lewis and Andy, and this should be allowed to continue.
“There is a real feelgood factor around the squad and staff at the moment, which we have recognised, and we feel that Lewis and Andy are the right people to carry this forward.”
