John Lufudu has made a sensational return to The Brewery Field after agreeing a deal to join Moors on loan from South Shields until the end of the season.
The flying full-back, last season’s Fans’ Player of the Year, left the Club during the summer to join Shields but will now be back in black and white after a temporary switch was confirmed.
Lufudu initially arrived at Moors in 2021 when then boss Tommy Miller brought him to the Club after he impressed when playing in opposition for Guiseley.
He became an almost instant hit with supporters as his all-action style and ferocious pace down the right flank becoming a key feature of Moors’ attacking armoury.
The Congolese-born star made 37 appearances in all competitions last term, chipping in with three goals and six assists which was enough to land him the accolade of Fans’ Player of the Year.
Moors boss Lee has been given the backing to strengthen his squad and has now brokered the deal which see Lufudu back at The Brewery Field for the remainder of the current campaign.
The 29-year-old will once again wear squad number 2 during his loan spell with Moors and will be in contention for Saturday’s game against Blyth Spartans, subject to FA approval.
