Preview: Moors v Brackley Town

We turn our attentions to the Bank Holiday Monday action with a comprehensive preview of Brackley Town’s visit to The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Brackley Town
National League North
Monday 26th August 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Brackley Town have had a mixed start to the new campaign but served warning of moving towards their best form on Saturday when they thrashed Curzon Ashton 4-0.

Gavin Cowan’s men won well away at Chester last weekend but had suffered disappointing defeats to Scunthorpe United and Kidderminster Harriers either side of that success at The Deva Stadium.

Having come agonisingly close to promotion in each of the last three season, Saints fans will be expecting to be in play-off contention at the very least this time around and the thumping of in-form Curzon will have boosted confidence.

Previous Meeting
Moors have a poor record against Brackley Town in recent years and The Saints ran out 1-0 victors on their last visit to The Brewery Field in January.

Indeed, Brackley did the National League North double over Moors last term and you have to go back to April 2019 for the last time we came out on top thanks to a 2-1 home win when Ryan Hall and Glen Taylor were on target.

Match Officials
Gareth Thomas will be the man in the middle for Monday’s game at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Paul Mosley and Ryan Moore. Christopher Ellis is Fourth Official.

Tickets
Monday’s game is not segregated, and fans of both sides are able to buy their tickets from the general sale option in advance online right now.

Tickets will also be available via cash or card on the turnstiles ahead of kick-off which will be open from 12noon on Monday.
