Moors star Brad James is to be lead a series of weekly goalkeeper specific technical training sessions for aspiring young footballers.
The Club’s First Team goalkeeper is set to kick-off the exciting new coaching programme for local youngsters on Monday 9th September at Whitworth Park Academy.
James will then be there on a weekly basis, not only to share advice on the technical aspect of goalkeeping but also on the physical, social and psychological sides too.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for up-and-coming goalkeepers to take advantage of first-class coaching,” explained Gavin Cogdon, the Club’s Head of Community and Development.
“Brad has a superb pedigree having come through the ranks at Middlesbrough under some elite level coaches and has bags of invaluable experience to pass on.
“I’m looking forward to seeing as many young people as possible coming along to enjoy their football and hopefully develop their skills as goalkeepers.”
Youngsters from the age of 7 to 16 will be able to benefit, with the sessions split in to three age groups over three hours every Monday.
4.30pm: 7-9 years
5.30pm: 10-12 years
6.30pm: 13-16 years
