Farsley Celtic v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Friday 18th October 2024, 7.45pm
The Horsfall Stadium

The Opposition
Farsley Celtic have had to battle against problems with their pitch at The Citadel during the opening months of the new National League North campaign.

The club had made plans to lay a state-of-the-art synthetic playing surface during the summer months, but various issues have left them unable to complete the work nor play at home as yet this term.

The situation has obviously made life difficult for the squad and it’s led to a mixed start in terms of results, with four wins from 10 so far in National League North.

Farsley have also had the upheaval of changing their manager already this season, when Pav Singh took over as boss following the departure of Clayton Donaldson at the beginning of September.

They picked up a creditable point away at Chester last time out in the league, but there was disappointment in the FA Cup on Saturday when they were beaten by Kettering Town and missed out on a place in the First Round.

Previous Meeting
Moors enjoyed a 3-1 victory in their last meeting with Farsley Celtic when the sides clashed at The Brewery Field at the start of April.

Goals from Will Harris, Reece Staunton and Rob Ramshaw wrapped up a fine victory, which followed up a goalless draw between the teams at The Citadel the previous November.

Match Officials
Jack Hall will be the man in the middle for Friday evening’s encounter at The Horsfall Stadium, and he will be assisted by Reece Davies and Matthew Jackson. The Fourth Official is Matthew Langdon.
