We turn the focus on the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of Chorley’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Chorley
National League North
Saturday 26th October 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Chorley arrive back in County Durham this weekend looking to avenge their FA Cup defeat to Moors at The Brewery Field at the end of last month.
The Magpies will be rich in confidence as they make the trip having moved second in the table and just two points off leaders Scunthorpe United in midweek.
Tuesday’s comfortable 3-0 win over Darlington was just what was needed for Andy Preece’s side after they were beaten 1-0 at Alfreton Town last Saturday.
However, that defeat at The Impact Arena was just their second in National League North this term so they will offer a big challenge to Graeme Lee’s men this weekend.
Previous Meeting
Chorley were visitors to The Brewery Field just last month when the two sides were drawn together in Third Round Qualifying of the FA Cup.
On that day it was Isaac Fletcher who proved the difference when his stunning finish from long-range in the second half turned out to be the only goal.
Match Officials
Lewis Dawson will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Stephen Beresford and Thomas James. Samuel Bragg will be our Fourth Official.
