Finley Shrimpton is heading back to The Brewery Field after the midfielder completed a loan move from Scunthorpe United which is set to run until the end of the season.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a hugely impressive loan spell with Moors during the closing months of last term and it’s no surprise that he has remained on the Club’s radar.
Shrimpton made 16 appearances in National League North for Moors after joining from The Iron in mid-February, scoring two goals and also chipping in with four assists.
Graeme Lee has had to remain patient in his pursuit of the Scunthorpe-born schemer, but a breakthrough has now been made and Shrimpton’s loan has been confirmed.
“We’re absolutely delighted to bring Fin back to The Brewery Field,” admitted Moors boss Lee.
“He was terrific during the time we had him last season and he was always a player we’ve kept our eye on this year and monitored his progress.
“Fin has bundles of energy and brings a real tenacity to the midfield areas; he’s mobile, can get around the pitch and he’s always looking to go forward if he can.
“We’ve got good strength in the middle of the park now and Fin’s arrival will provide an extra layer of competition which can hopefully drive the standards even higher.”
Shrimpton has been handed squad number 27 and has been granted permission by his parent club to make his debut in Saturday’s FA Trophy tie, subject to FA approval.
