Moors in the Community are proud to launch the first part of their festive drive by confirming the details for the annual Christmas Toy and Gift Appeal.
It’s proved a hugely successful initiative in recent years with the Club being overwhelmed by the generosity shown by our fans to support people across the town.
We’re asking you to once again consider buying just one extra Christmas gift or toy this year to donate to our appeal and help spread some festive cheer across our local area.
This year, we’re linking up with our friends at Team Solan Connor Fawcett Cancer Trust, an organisation who have links to hundreds of families in need in Spennymoor and the North East region.
Their appeal is for donations of gifts and toys for children and adults of all ages, with members (known as Warriors) within Team Solan’s families ranging from 2 through to 96!
We’re taking donations right now within The Neil Adams Sports Bar at The Brewery Field and you have until Friday 20th December to bring your gifts after which we’ll make sure they reach deserving individuals.
Ideally, we’d like all gifts to be pre-wrapped and marked clearly whether it’s for a male or female and which age range it would be best suited for – however, this isn’t a necessity.
