Preview: Peterborough Sports v Moors

We turn the spotlight on the weekend action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to PIMS Park.

Peterborough Sports v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Saturday 23rd November 2024, 3pm
PIMS Park

The Opposition
Peterborough Sports will come into Saturday’s game against Moors in confident mood after enjoying a fruitful time in league and cup during November.

The Turbines began the month with an eye-catching 3-1 win over Alfreton Town before following it up with four points from away trips to Southport and Darlington.

Spirits were further boosted last weekend following an FA Trophy triumph over Chelmsford and now joint bosses Luke Steele and Michael Gash will be hoping they can continue their improved run back in the league.

Sports currently lie 17th in the National League North table but have the motivation of knowing that victory on Saturday could bring them level on points with Moors.

Previous Meeting
Moors ran out 2-0 winners when they last made the trip to Peterborough Sports as second half goals from Danny Greenfield and Will Harris did the damage last August.

The two sides then shared the spoils in the return fixture at The Brewery Field in February which finished goalless.

Referee
The man in the middle for Saturday’s game at PIMS Park will be Gareth Thomas, and he will be assisted by Luke Bowles and Lewis Mountain. Thomas Kelly is Fourth Official.

Tickets
Moors fans can pay on the turnstiles for Saturday’s game but are advised that PIMS Park is a completely cashless venue so card payment will be required.
