We turn our focus on to the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of Buxton’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.
Spennymoor Town v Buxton
National League North
Saturday 30th November 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Buxton have driven themselves back into the play-off positions in recent weeks after rediscovering some of their best form after going through a bad patch.
Having won their first three games of the season under new boss John McGrath, The Bucks then managed to lose seven of their next eight outings to drop down the table.
However, McGrath has managed to steady the ship, and the Derbyshire outfit make the trip to The Brewery Field this weekend sitting sixth after taking 19 points from the last available 24.
The club showed their ambitions to play at a higher level during the summer when they transitioned to a full-time model, and they will hope that can provide a platform for a promotion challenge.
Previous Meeting
Buxton ran out 3-2 winners when they travelled to The Brewery Field last December when Diego De Girolamo’s last-minute penalty saw them clinch a dramatic three points.
It was revenge for The Bucks – for Moors had won 2-0 when they visited The Silverlands three months earlier thanks to goals from Rob Ramshaw and Will Harris.
Match Officials
Thomas Wilson will be the man in the middle for this Saturday’s contest at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Kieran Downey and James Gallagher. The Fourth Official is Glen Hart.
