Preview: Moors v Leamington

We turn our focus on to the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of Leamington’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Leamington
National League North
Saturday 14th December 2024, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Leamington were on the crest of the wave at the start of 2024/25 and enjoyed a wonderful start to the campaign on the back of promotion last term.

Long-serving Brakes legend Paul Holleran guided the club back to National League North at the first attempt following relegation in 2022/23 and then set about giving them a platform on which to build.

Holleran’s side tasted defeat just three times in the opening three months of the campaign and they began to emerge as potential dark horses for a play-off spot.

However, they have struggled to maintain that form in recent weeks and arrive at The Brewery Field in 17th spot in the table after losing their last five league games.

Previous Meeting
Moors did the double over Leamington when they last shared National League North back in 2022/23 with a couple of 1-0 triumphs.

However, Graeme Lee’s men did not get into their stride when they travelled to face The Brakes in the opening month of the current campaign and were beaten 3-1.
