Preview: Moors v Rushall Olympic

We turn our focus on to the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of Rushall Olympic’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Rushall Olympic
National League North
Saturday 18th January 2025, 3pm
The Brewery Field

The Opposition
Rushall Olympic have given themselves real hope of climbing out of National League North’s bottom four after a brilliant start to the New Year.

The Pics have won all three of their games so far in 2025, including eye-catching victories over title-chasing duo Kidderminster Harriers and Scunthorpe United.

Former Bolton Wanderers and West Brom midfielder Richard Sneekes returned for his second spell as boss in December and he has breathed new life into the club’s drive for survival.

Now the Midlands outfit make the journey to The Brewery Field this weekend hoping they can build on that momentum and continue to close on the teams above them in the table.

Previous Meeting
Moors paid for a sloppy first half performance when they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Rushall Olympic earlier in the campaign.

Graeme Lee’s men found themselves 2-0 down by the break back in August and even Rob Ramshaw’s early second half goal could not help them plot a route back into the game.

Match Officials
Lewis Dawson will be the man in the middle for Saturday’s contest at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Sam Bayley and Macauley Gibson. Ryan Gibson is our Fourth Official.
