We turn our focus on to Tuesday evening’s action with a comprehensive preview of Alfreton Town’s National League North visit to The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Alfreton Town
National League North
Tuesday 18th February 2025, 7.45pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Alfreton Town arrive in County Durham on Tuesday night determined to try and recapture the kind of form that saw them reach the play-offs last term.
The Reds have slipped to 12th in the table on the back of a run which has seen them taste defeat in seven of their last nine outings.
Perhaps more concerning is that their usually superb home form has deserted them recently and Saturday’s 2-0 loss to Kidderminster Harriers was their fifth in a row on their own patch.
However, the vastly experienced Billy Heath will remain confident of engineering better in the coming weeks and will hope they can still have a say in National League North’s top seven come April.
Previous Meeting
This will be the fourth time this season that Moors have gone head-to-head with Alfreton Town having already faced them away in the league, FA Cup and FA Trophy.
Moors have had the edge having won on two of those occasions, the most recent in the FA Trophy when Matty Dolan’s brilliant free-kick sent Graeme Lee’s men through.
Match Officials
Darius Bradley will charge of Tuesday evening’s encounter at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Gordon Greaves and Elliot Cowens. Jamie Cann is our Fourth Official.
