Moors Make Food Donation To Methodist Church

Trinity Methodist Church have received a boost for their discounted community grocery shop after Moors donated a host of food items to the invaluable project.

Every Thursday between 3pm and 5.30pm, Trinity Methodist Church throw open their doors for the public to come and take advantage of their facilities.

They host The Cupboard Food Shop, The Wardrobe for pre-loved clothing and The Kitchen Café, serving up snacks for visitors all at very reasonable prices.

Moors Managing Director Ian Geldard and Partnerships Manager Stephen Gilling called into Trinity Methodist Church recently to hand over a donation of food from the Club to Project Manager Jeanette Logan.

“We’ve linked up with the people at Trinity before and we know first-hand what a magnificent job they do for our community on a number of fronts,” explained Geldard.

“The Club was delighted to hand over a big donation for the Foodbank which runs there at Christmas and we’re pleased to have been able to show more support now.

“Services such as these are invaluable to the people of Spennymoor and it’s important that the Club and the wider public try to support them in any way they can.”
