We turn the spotlight on to the weekend action with a comprehensive preview of our National League North meeting with Peterborough Sports at The Brewery Field.

Spennymoor Town v Peterborough Sports
National League North
Saturday 8th March 2025, 3pm
The Brewery Field
The Opposition
Peterborough Sports have emerged as dark horses for a play-off spot on the back of a strong run of form which has seen them taste defeat just once in their last seven games.
The Turbines look a solid and organised outfit under the watch of joint bosses Michael Gash and Luke Steele and could yet have a say inside the top seven this term.
Sports are up to 10th after deserved away wins over struggling Radcliffe and Rushall Olympic, while they kicked-off March with a creditable draw against Southport last weekend.
The club has already enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent years, but few would rule them out of contention for yet another promotion if they can maintain their form during the run-in.
Previous Meeting
Moors had to come from behind to claim a point when they made the trip to Peterborough Sports earlier in the campaign.
Kaine Felix had put the hosts in front early on but Rob Ramshaw came to Moors’ rescue with a wonderful volley on 71 minutes to ensure a share of the spoils at Lincoln Road.
Match Officials
Liam Smith will take charge of Saturday’s contest at The Brewery Field, and he will be assisted by Jonathan Gill and Paul Mosley. Connor Scott is our Fourth Official.
