We turn the spotlight on Tuesday evening’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to Tarmac Silverlands Stadium.
Buxton v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 11th March 2025, 7.45pm
Tarmac Silverlands Stadium
The Opposition
Buxton got their play-off challenge back on course in sensational fashion on Saturday when they won 7-0 at struggling Oxford City.
The Bucks had gone five games without a victory to slip off the pace but returned to contention in eye-catching style with a ruthlessly efficient away performance.
John McGrath’s side now sit ninth in the National League North table, four points outside the division’s top seven with nine games left to play.
At home it’s been a case of all or nothing for the Derbyshire outfit this term, having won 10, lost seven and drawn just one of their 18 fixtures on their own patch during 2024/25.
Previous Meeting
The two sides shared the points when they met at The Brewery Field earlier in the campaign as Michael Ledger’s early goal was cancelled out by Luke Brennan.
Referee
Kavan Hurn will be the man in the middle for Tuesday’s National League North contest, and he will be assisted by Peter Dingle and Christopher Hodson. Keir Sheppard is the Fourth Official.
