Needham Market earned three valuable points on Saturday as they produced a gutsy performance to see off Chorley at Bloomfields.
The 2-1 triumph was a huge boost for The Marketmen as they look to hold on to their National League North status following last season’s promotion.
Tom Rothery has now taken over as boss following last month’s departure of Kevin Horlock and he will have been pleased to see them end a run of five without a win at the weekend.
Back-to-back away journeys to Moors and then Kidderminster Harriers on Saturday will test their resolve before a potentially crucial run of three successive games on home turf.
Previous Meeting
Moors were denied victory in the final seconds when they made the long trip to face Needham Market in the two clubs’ first ever meeting back in November.
Junior Mondal’s goal on 77 minutes looked like handing Graeme Lee’s men all three points only for Seth Chambers to level things up deep into injury time.
