We turn the spotlight on Tuesday evening’s action with a full and in-depth preview of our National League North trip to Tameside Stadium.
Cuzron Ashton v Spennymoor Town
National League North
Tuesday 8th April 2025, 7.45pm
Tameside Stadium
The Opposition
Curzon Ashton currently sit fifth in the National League North table and will hope to further cement their place in the play-off zone with victory over Moors.
The Nash have seen off struggling Needham Market and Warrington Town in their last two outings as they look to hit top form for the all-important run-in.
The Tameside Stadium outfit started the campaign right on top of the game and quickly emerged as promotion candidates during the early months of 2024/25.
While finishing top looks unlikely right now, they remain in a strong position to clinch a top seven finish and give themselves a real opportunity to challenge for promotion.
Craig Mahon’s successful step up to the manager’s role was rewarded with a new long-term deal in January and Nash fans hope he can celebrate that by leading the club to the fifth tier.
Previous Meeting
The two sides shared the points at the end of a goalless draw when they met at The Brewery Field back at the beginning of November.
Referee
Harry Jones will be the man in the middle for Moors’ trip to Curzon Ashton, and he will be assisted by Samuel Wright and Charles King. Adewunmi Soneye is Fourth Official.
